Blessing of the Pets

The feast of St. Francis of Assisi is Friday October 4th. Many people bring their pets to the church to be blessed on St. Francis’ feast day because of his love for animals as expressed in his Canticle of Creatures. Fr. Andrew will say a special blessing, sprinkle them with holy ​water and provide you with a ​medal ​and ​a prayer card.

Reminder: pets are never allowed in the Cathedral and should ​remain ​outside. If you wish to attend ​Mass, please ​do not leave your pets unattended in a hot vehicle.
