The Religious Education Program (commonly called CCD) is a faith formation program founded on the principle that parents are primary to the religious formation of their children.
The Religiious Education program, therefore, strives to compliment family-centered efforts in the formation of children in the Catholic Faith.
Sacramental preparation is a two year program for children in 1st, 2nd, 7th and 8th grades. Children in 1st and 2nd grades receive sacramental preparation for the celebration of Reconciliation and the Eucharist. Children in 7th, and 8th grades receive sacramental preparation for the celebration of Confirmation. Children must be enrolled in religious education classes the years prior to the year of sacramental reception as a norm. However, sacramental preparation and celebration is open to children of all ages.
Baptism of children over 6 is arranged separately by calling the Rector at 269-345-5147.
We are accepting registrations for the "2024-2025" Religious Education year now.
The registration and medical treatment authorization forms are available in one document on the left side of this web page. Please note that a separate Medical Treatment authorization form is required for each child registered in the program.
Registering as early as possible is recommended since it allows us to plan for the number of catechists and resources we need for the upcoming year.
Late registrants cannot be guaranteed a seat due to the fact that the student to catechist ratio cannot exceed 15 to 1 as per diocesan guidelines.
